invent意為「發明」，指透過聰明才幹「發明／締造」出之前從未存在過的新事物。
（1）Who invented the telephone?（是誰發現德律風的）
（2）He invented a new teaching method.（他發現了一種新的教授教養方法）

（2）He found the exercise simple.（他認為那演習很簡單）
He found a business card in the drawer（他在抽屜找到一張手刺）。Find強調在顛末「尋找」（look for）後“找的後果”（找到或找不到）翻譯如：I can't find my key.（我找不到我的鑰匙）。
